Finding the right size bra
It is estimated that around 75% of women
wear the wrong bra size. Common problems
which indicate the wrong size include:
- shoulder straps digging in
- back of bra not level with the front
- bra standing away from the breast
bone
- breasts not contained fully within
wires, squeezed out of cups or sagging
A perfect fitting bra provides both
comfort and support. For best results take
actual body measurements, or wear a lined or
lightly lined bra, and use a soft tape
measure. You will need to take two
measurements – band size and cup size.
a) Band size/underbust
Measure directly under the bust around
the rib cage. The tape should be snug and
smooth and only as tight as a bra would be.
You can find the band size using the table
below.

b) Cup size/overbust
Measure around the fullest part of the
bust. The tape should be straight but not
too tight.
The difference between the overbust
measurement and the underbust measurement is
a guide to the cup size.

Finding the right Corset size
The Corset sizes on our web site are in
relation to the Bust Size, not the waist.
Fitting Your Corset.
You would measure for your corset like you
would measure the bandwidth for your bra.
Standing in front of a mirror, wrap your
tape measure snugly around your chest, just
under or at the crease beneath your breasts
and flush against your back. Check in the
mirror to make sure the tape measure is
parallel to the floor and flat across your
back. You may need a friend or partner to
help. Record this measurement in inches and
write it down. Now you’ll need to do some
basic math to find your proper band size.
If the number is even, add 4 to get your
Band Size
If the number is odd, add 5 to get your Band
Size
Example: If you wrote down 32, add 4 and
your band size will be 36, this will also be
your corset size.
If you have a DD cup size or above you would
go one size larger.
